Dr. Kathryn Serra was born and raised in Naperville, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree before continuing her education at UIC to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. During dental school, Dr. Katie was honored with the Dr. Walter E. Dundon Award for Clinical Excellence and Leadership.
After practicing in Chicago, Dr. Katie returned to the suburbs to be closer to family after welcoming her son. She is a passionate and energetic dentist who truly enjoys building relationships with her patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles. Dr. Katie is committed to providing patient-centered care through thoughtful communication, active listening, and individualized treatment plans. She believes in the importance of evidence-based dentistry and lifelong learning through continuing education to provide the highest quality care for her patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, Cooper, creating new family memories, reading, and staying active. She also enjoys attending White Sox games during the summer and cheering on the Green Bay Packers in the winter.
